Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assisting with the completion of month-end close, cost reports, budgets, and other miscellaneous reports. This role will interact with facility CEOs and CFOs, facility Business Office Managers, corporate personnel, and government agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Complete month-end close for assigned facilities, including monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist the Regional Financial Director in the review of month-end close and help reconcile problem accounts.
  • Assist in the completion of cost reports.
  • Assist facility Administrators and accounting personnel on accounting-related questions and problems.
  • Assist facilities in development and maintenance of the APC/DOI reports and completion of state and federal reports.
  • Perform special projects for Administrators, Regional Financial Directors, and Regional Vice Presidents.
  • Assist in the completion of work papers assigned for external audits as well as work with auditors on any audit-related issues.
  • Assist Regional Financial Director in the preparation of the annual budget for all assigned facilities, including annual tax packages.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all required reports and accounting data to meet applicable financial deadlines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3-5 years experience as a staff accountant.
