Position Overview:

Arcadis is in search of a Junior Civil Engineer or Construction Engineer to assist in environmental remediation and demolition initiatives. The successful candidate will engage in the management of substantial construction projects, planning, and field assistance. This position demands a self-sufficient worker who is comfortable in a construction setting and prepared to spend a significant amount of time in the field.

This is a full-time role ideal for a motivated individual eager to advance their career in construction services. The position offers exposure to a diverse array of projects within a collaborative team environment, contributing to a reputable organization known for its high standards and exceptional personnel.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Client interaction and communication
  • Project planning and financial estimation
  • Updating and managing construction timelines
  • Assessing and conveying staffing requirements
  • Monitoring field expenses and material quantities
  • Preparing comprehensive field reports
  • Overseeing subcontractors and other personnel
  • Encouraging and monitoring safety protocols
  • Facilitating safety briefings
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential for generating reports and managing data in the field.

Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
Desirable:
  • Up to one year of experience in field engineering, construction management, or oversight
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite
