- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure certification is required for L&D.
- Advanced EFM certification is necessary for L&D and must be renewed every two years.
- Proof of a valid state nursing license is required.
- License verification must be completed within 30 days of employment commencement.
- NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, and AP is required.
- The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing safe patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct patient care is provided within the established scope of practice.
- The Registered Nurse will also oversee and guide patient and family education as well as the activities of other nursing staff while upholding professional nursing standards in Telemetry.
- Direct accountability for patient care in the Emergency Department is expected.
- Effective communication with physicians regarding changes in patient conditions, diagnostic results, and symptoms is crucial.
- Ability to respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses is required.
- Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the reporting of abuse to appropriate authorities is essential.
- Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality is a priority.
- Completion of Form I-9 for Employment Eligibility Verification is required.
- A valid picture ID, such as a state driver's license, passport, or state ID card, is necessary.
- Current photo identification is mandatory.
