Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages, performing computer data entry, and maintaining the cleanliness of storage areas and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients using proper phlebotomy technique and equipment
  • Perform computer data entry and filing
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other visitors
  • Process microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank specimens
  • Stock routine supplies and maintain the cleanliness of storage areas and equipment
  • Process or load specimens on automated laboratory instrumentation
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the department manager/director
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current
  • Minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
