The Nutritional Services Aide plays a vital role within the Nutritional Services Department, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Nutritional Services Aide:

  • Prepares meals and snacks according to assigned responsibilities, established menus, schedules, resident preferences, and hygiene protocols.
  • Delivers meals in specified locations such as resident rooms and dining areas.
  • Manages the distribution of food trays and carts to residents, retrieves used items, and replenishes supplies for subsequent meals.
  • Aids in the management of food supplies, including storage, labeling, and dating in compliance with regulations.
  • Conducts cleaning duties, including dishwashing, sanitizing equipment, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
  • Assists the chef in meal preparation and service.

Education Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience: 1+ years in food service and long-term care environments
