Job Description

Aero Support Group is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on aircraft avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft avionics systems in accordance with manufacturer's maintenance manual and company procedures.
  • Notify Shop Manager of any out-of-the-ordinary damage noted during maintenance process.
  • Order correct parts as noted in illustrated parts listing of appropriate manual.
  • Document all maintenance forms in accordance with company procedures and individual instructions for each form.
  • Maintain tools and work area in clean, orderly manner.
  • Verify calibration status on all precision tools and test equipment prior to use.
  • Only perform work in accordance with approved data.
  • Accept ownership for quality of work.
  • Assist in development and training of new technicians.
  • Ensure work performed by non-licensed person is monitored and signed off by qualified, licensed individual.

Requirements:

  • Airframe and Powerplant Certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years heavy and/or line maintenance experience in Avionics.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language at professional working proficiency.
  • Provide own tools as required by company tool list.
  • Understand and follow maintenance manuals and IPCs.
  • Undergo and pass criminal background check resulting in issuance of badge from Sanford Airport Authority.
  • Travel to other locations as needed.
  • PTF Modification experience preferred.
  • B737, B757, or A321 experience preferred.
