We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN) to join our team at Flowers Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing delegated aspects of direct patient care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Make decisions based on education, experience, State Board of Nursing Rules and hospital/departmental policy and procedures.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Perform aspects of care including physical examination and data collection, ADLs, education, medication administration, peripheral IV therapy, discharge planning, implementation of physician's orders and documentation.
- BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification required PRIOR TO START.
- IV certification - can be general.
Nights 7P-7A - 48 GTH. Start ASAP.
Additional DetailsTravelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility.
