Job Title: Design Technician

This position will be responsible for preparing project quotes, product drawings, and details for assigned projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering practices and mathematics, as well as excellent communication and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct dimensional relationships between parts and projects.
  • Create sketches of proposed drawings using Microstation, AutoCAD, and other drawing programs.
  • Modify drawings as directed by engineers.
  • Prepare concrete structure and formwork drawings for assigned projects.
  • Assist in the design and detailing of forming systems.
  • Review and analyze project documents to identify drawing and specification conflicts.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and estimates as required.
  • Review new bulletins and change orders to identify and quantify changes.
  • Notify engineers of changes that might impact material and costs.
  • Ensure efficient inventory control and storage of shop drawings and contract documents.
  • Contribute to operations safety goals by identifying and communicating potential hazards.
  • Proactively work to enhance job-related skills and acquire overall knowledge of forming and framing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years' experience in the drainage, water resources, stormwater, or similar field.
  • Working knowledge of Titan Precast Management software and/or AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to properly organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Critical Skills:
  • Comfortable using computer and other technologies that may correlate to our industry.
  • Time Management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Engineering.
