MTC Maintenance/Tooling Technician

The MTC Maintenance/Tooling Technician will be responsible for fabricating tooling and fixturing based off engineering drawings using a variety of equipment, both automated and manual. This includes developing machining strategies that contribute to the fabrication of MTC product per a production schedule, designing machining and grinding fixtures to hold material in place securely while being machined or ground, and performing inspection on components in accordance with published Standard Operating Procedures and Production Work Instructions.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Experience with computer-controlled multi-axis machining centers, CNC mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other manual methods of machining and EDM is a plus. The ability to work in a production-oriented environment, under little supervision, and to organize and prioritize simple tasks and make appropriate decisions under little supervision is essential.
