Key Responsibilities:
Utilize your engineering expertise in multidisciplinary research initiatives focused on ground combat vehicles. Your background in embedded systems development, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous navigation will be crucial in advancing optionally manned systems for defense-related research and development.
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients is vital; therefore, the ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, and effective communication abilities.
The role may involve leading projects or components, requiring the ability to interpret and break down complex platform requirements into manageable engineering tasks across various disciplines.
Essential Qualifications:
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a relevant engineering or scientific field, coupled with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience, is required.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies, including SysML, UML, DoDAF, and UPDM, is essential.
Proven experience with military electronic systems, as well as subsystem and system-level testing and integration, is necessary, along with leadership experience in substantial projects.
Familiarity with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures, such as CAN Bus and Ethernet, is required.
Capability to conduct Functional Decomposition and Capability Development to create innovative architectures is important.
Experience in integrating and developing data networks that navigate various layers of information security (both Classified and Unclassified) is essential.
Ability to formulate and implement system-level project plans is necessary.
Proficiency in requirements management tools, such as IBM Rational Doors, is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in process development and improvement management, particularly CMMI, is advantageous.
Knowledge of legacy military hardware and software systems is beneficial.
Familiarity with Time Sensitive Networking concepts is a plus.
