Optometric Assistant

At AEG, we're seeking a skilled Optometric Technician to join our team. As a key member of our eye care team, you'll work closely with our doctors to deliver exceptional patient care and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exams, including dilation and diagnostic medications.
- Perform verbal interviews with patients to gather medical information and communicate with our doctors.
- Assist our doctors in caring for patients in a timely and effective manner.
- Discuss LASIK options with patients and identify those interested in the procedure.
- Record and maintain patient records in compliance with company, federal, and state policies.
- Participate in practice meetings and projects as requested.
- Perform end-of-day responsibilities, including opti-schedule wrap-up and end-of-day checklists.
- High School or GED qualification.
- Entry-level PC skills, including Microsoft Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
- Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
- Experience maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
