HSE/GED Instructional Associate

Job Description
As a part-time face-to-face HSE/GED Math or Language Instructor at Clarendon College, your primary responsibility will be to teach students the necessary skills and knowledge for successful completion of the GED math or language examination using a pre-developed curriculum. You will work closely with students to develop positive working relationships, foster a sense of community, and promote academic success. Regular progress monitoring, effective retention strategies, and adherence to pre and post-assessment administration requirements are also key aspects of this role. In addition to your instructional responsibilities, you will collaborate with other instructors and professionals to support individual student needs and progress. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions based on general guidelines, are essential for success in this role.

Education and Experience Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree and prior teaching experience are required for this role. A degree in Education, Mathematics, or Language is preferred. You should also possess strong administrative and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational technologies such as Zoom. The schedule for this role will be based on your availability, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. The estimated hourly rate for this position is $20, capped at grant funding levels.
