Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse Interventional provides nursing care for patients in the department, meeting basic ADL needs. The nurse circulates in the department, recognizing physical and emotional changes in patients' condition, and assists with biopsy, drainage procedures, and special procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Displays thorough knowledge of nursing and departmental protocols.
- Consistently provides appropriate charting and other documentation.
- Consistently demonstrates proper safety and radiation safety practices for self and others.
- Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment.
- Maintains flow of Interventional Recovery Unit.
- Assists other modalities with nursing patient care issues.
- Demonstrates competency working with all age groups.
- Demonstrates competency using the Radiographic Information System.
- Demonstrates competency in Departmental communication.
- Maintains clean and well-stocked work area.
- Meets and exceeds the expectations of patients and all other customers we serve.
- Actively assists and supports departmental activities to ensure that operational and salary expenses are equal to or less than approved budget.
- Understands the principles and concepts of Performance Improvement.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience with at least one year in critical care, ER, or PACU experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
