About the Opportunity

We are a leading advisory firm helping organizations take on everyday challenges and opportunities. Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax law, tax compliance, and tax accounting.

This is an equity or non-equity opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our tax practice as a Tax Partner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and providing guidance and leadership to our tax department.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development and client management, with extensive knowledge of tax accounting, tax law, and tax compliance. You will be proficient in tax preparation and review of tax returns, with strong experience in tax advisory, business tax planning, and tax consulting.

You will also lead and manage the tax team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee 100% review of tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to a diverse client base, including corporations, partnerships, and high net worth individuals.
  • Manage client relationships, deliver excellent client service, and expand our client base through business development activities.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and conduct tax research to provide insightful tax advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with other partners to identify opportunities for new business and growth.
  • Ensure the firm's tax accounting practices are in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist clients with tax compliance, tax preparation, and other tax-related issues.
  • Develop and implement effective business tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client profits.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior tax role, preferably in a public accounting or consulting firm.
  • Proven track record in business development and client management.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax accounting, tax law, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and review of tax returns.
  • Strong experience in tax advisory, business tax planning, and tax consulting.
  • Excellent tax research skills and ability to stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant professional tax certification is required.
