Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Provider is responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare within Fast Pace Health's scope of services while achieving optimum patient satisfaction. Your duties will include:

  • Assessing and diagnosing fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging studies
  • Administering non-surgical fracture reductions
  • Monitoring and managing the healing process, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Performing joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections
  • Administering intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound
  • Applying casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize and immobilize various musculoskeletal conditions
  • Ensuring proper alignment and immobilization of injured body parts
  • Educating patients on cast care and potential complications
  • Reviewing and interpreting X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies
  • Collaborating with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Determining whether surgical or non-operative approaches are most appropriate
  • Providing patients with detailed information about their orthopedic conditions
  • Offering guidance on home exercises, physical therapy, and activity modifications
  • Addressing patient questions and concerns, ensuring they understand their treatment plans
  • Collaborating with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 1+ year of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP/APRN/Physician Assistant/PA)
  • 1+ year of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections
