The Skills Coalition is seeking a dedicated Investment Fund Accounting Specialist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a reputable firm. This role offers a defined career trajectory within a hybrid work environment located in the heart of Charlotte.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of fund-level quarterly financial statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP and ILPA standards.
  • Collaboration with third-party fund administrators on monthly closing procedures.
  • Reviewing workpapers, fee calculations, and investor statements.
  • Overseeing quarterly compliance reports for secured debt.
  • Conducting annual audits for various investment vehicles.
  • Managing financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting processes.
  • Coordinating with external tax teams for information requests and data analysis.
  • Acting as a liaison for REIT compliance between asset managers and tax consultants.
  • Providing quarterly variance reporting at the fund level.
  • Supporting the Investments team with transaction-related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
  • Proficient understanding of GAAP and fair value accounting principles.
  • A collaborative team player in a dynamic environment.
  • Daily interaction with internal and external third-party vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial real estate or fund accounting.
  • Familiarity with Yardi and/or Workiva is advantageous.
  • Educational Background: Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA or equivalent.
