Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Round Rock, Texas.

Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in respiratory care modalities, therapies, and equipment, as well as excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory care services, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medication, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians and care teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations.
  • Adhere to established policies, including infection control and isolation protocols, HIPAA, time and attendance, and social media guidelines.
  • Embody a culture of continuous quality improvement, identifying and executing opportunities to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure by the State of Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board Respiratory Care.
