Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Staff to join our team at Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. As a member of our Food Service Team, you will be responsible for providing delicious, fresh, and well-balanced meals to our campers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to campers and staff
  • Manage food inventory, receiving orders, and storing of food and supplies
  • Assist in the management of food allergies and special dietary needs of campers and staff
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen equipment, kitchen, and dining hall
  • Assist in the management of food service operations, including opening and closing procedures
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Current Food Handlers certification (Food Sanitation Manager certification preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a food service environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
