Position Overview:
Are you prepared to create a positive change in the lives of individuals facing addiction challenges? As a Therapist at The Edge, you will be a vital part of our collaborative, team-oriented recovery approach. We are in search of empathetic professionals who excel in a therapeutic setting and are committed to guiding our clients on their journey to recovery.
Our therapists will engage with clients who have recently received a diagnosis of substance use disorders. This role necessitates maintaining professional boundaries while nurturing positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. You will be tasked with evaluating client needs, monitoring progress, and executing effective treatment strategies in accordance with ethical and clinical standards.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in addiction treatment or human services. Opportunities for professional development are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and sustain positive, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Conduct comprehensive client evaluations and maintain detailed progress documentation.
- Prepare and uphold accurate treatment records and reports.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at overcoming dependencies and fostering positive transformation.
- Collaborate with team members during staff meetings and clinical supervision sessions.
- Develop realistic treatment objectives with clients in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and KIPU Systems Client Management Software)
- Familiarity with the substance treatment field: 12-step terminology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), etc.
- Proficiency in KIPU Systems Client Management Software.
- Mid-level candidates: Required hours completed; license examination scheduled.
- Basic candidates: 2,500 hours towards licensure completed; AMFTs must have completed child hours.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Negative TB test results within the past year.
- Medical clearance to work within the past year.
- Ability to pass random drug screenings.
