Job Description & Requirements

We're seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. This is a 13-week travel assignment in Fresno, California, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
  • Prepare the procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available and in working condition.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures by preparing the site of entry, draping the patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
  • Operate and ensure the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab.
  • Scrub in during procedures, assist the physician in maneuvering catheters, and obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data.
  • Monitor the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures and participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist.
  • BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
