Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our Labor and Delivery team at Adventist Health. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse Lead, you will be responsible for providing unit-based leadership, supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel, and ensuring that all patients receive high-quality, cost-effective care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide unit-based leadership and collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, hospital policy, Quality Measures, and Patient Safety initiatives.
  • Assess and improve quality of patient experience, and develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage staffing requirements, assign staff to patients and patient care activities, and ensure equal workloads.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, including data collection and analysis, and implement systems to improve care.
  • Work closely with facility services to maintain a safe and operational environment, and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification.
  • S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE) certification.
