Job Summary:

The Barback is a key member of the White Lodging team, responsible for ensuring the bar area is clean and well-maintained. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, anticipating and exceeding their expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to White Lodging standards of service.
  • Assist bartenders with tasks such as preparing garnishes and cleaning the bar area.
  • Ensure that food sanitation practices are followed, and become certified in sanitation and food handling as required by the state.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and report any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to Loss Prevention/Management.
  • Utilize Service Recovery/Defect Tracking processes to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Practice safety standards at all times, and keep the property safe for guests and fellow associates.
  • Lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly, following proper moving and lifting procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent not required.
  • Ability to stand for more than 8 hours and lift more than 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
