Job SummaryThe Surgical Tech, WakeMed Travel Staffing, is an allied health professional who plays a critical role in the operating room environment. This position requires a high level of skill and attention to detail, as the Surgical Tech is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to aseptic technique.
- Monitor and maintain the operating room environment, including temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of surgical procedures.
- 1 Year Clinical - Surgical Technician Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Graduate Surgical Technology Required - Or Military - Surgical Technology Required
- Certified Surgical Technologist Required - Within 12 Months of Completion of Surgical Technology Program
