We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at Just In Time Staffing LLC.

About the Job

This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with benefits and production bonus available once eligible with the client. The salary for this role is $18.00 per hour, based on location in Lombard, IL.

The successful candidate will have experience working in the metal fabricating industry, with knowledge of safety procedures and operation issues related to the field. They must be able to safely use hand tools and power tools, including nail guns, cordless drills, and saws.

The ideal candidate will be able to think and work independently, with the ability to perform basic shop math. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Using steel, lumber, and insulation, perform final assembly of products.
  • Lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Cut lumber and insulation to size for final assembly.
  • Follow the job schedule provided by the Plant Manager and Shift Foreman.
  • Assist fabricators with layout and fabrication of jobs.
  • Cut and assemble skids for shipping of assembled products.
  • Responsible for reporting concerns, issues, and material shortages, in a timely fashion.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Follow safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
  • Must be able to safely use hand tools and power tools.
  • Some relevant experience in the metal fabricating industry.
  • Knowledge of safety and operation issues related to the metal fabricating industry.
  • Ability to think and work independently.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
