About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Border Foods. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountability & Integrity:
  • Lead by example, demonstrating integrity in all aspects of your work
  • Ensure that team members complete all assigned duties and provide excellent customer service
  • Schedule and deploy team members effectively to meet business needs
  • Monitor team performance and hold team members accountable for meeting standards and expectations
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by driving fast and friendly service
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including point of sale system data
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, adhering to local, state, and federal laws and guidelines
  • Family & Teamwork:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting unity and collaboration
  • Respond to team member questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for team members and customers
  • Develop and implement strategies to motivate and engage team members
  • Represent Border Foods in handling customer complaints and issues, demonstrating a customer-centric approach
  • Instill a recognition culture that promotes a positive work environment
  • Excellence:
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to drive restaurant success
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to inform business decisions and minimize loss
  • Source, hire, and develop high-performing team members
  • Conduct new hire orientation and develop training plans to ensure team members are equipped to succeed
  • Minimize loss through strict adherence to cash handling policies and accounting requirements
  • Empowerment:
  • Provide opportunities for team members to learn and grow, including training and development programs
  • Coach and mentor team members to help them succeed in their roles
  • Encourage and recognize team members for their contributions and achievements
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
