Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver physical therapy services to residents based on individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.

2. Support the Physical Therapist during assessments, evaluations, and advanced treatment procedures.

3. Monitor, document, and communicate to the therapist any changes in conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned tasks.

4. Keep accurate daily records of treatments and document progress notes for residents as instructed by the therapist.

5. Assist in the screening process for new admissions.

6. Collaborate with the therapist in discussions with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.

7. Aid in the maintenance of the physical therapy department and its equipment.

8. Support the Physical Therapist in conducting in-service training sessions and other meetings as required.

Qualifications

1. Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

2. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in accordance with state regulations.
