Your Role:

Venture Solutions, a subsidiary of Taylor Corporation, is in search of a Software Solutions Engineer. This position requires adherence to federal regulations, including a mandatory background check for all employees.



Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of and engage with support workflows, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Design and create software applications that meet both internal business needs and external client requirements.
- Formulate test plans and conduct unit tests for applications.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established testing protocols.
- Document processes and issues in a manner that aids team collaboration.
- Integrate various software components and third-party applications.
- Enhance and modernize existing applications while ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Maintain and improve current software applications to align with business objectives.
- Produce clean, efficient code that adheres to coding standards.
- Uphold safe data handling and secure coding practices.
- Follow quality assurance guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate project status to relevant stakeholders.
- Mentor junior staff members as needed.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
- Be available for off-hours and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-4+ years of experience in IT support and/or software development, including proficiency in .NET, C#, SQL, Azure, and Jira.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a knack for troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with VB6, OpenText Exstream, Compart, and Solimar.
