Aldea Services Inc, a leading national engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Engineer to join our Columbus, OH office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, tunnel design, and construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee geotechnical investigations in soil and rock geology
- Inspect heavy civil construction projects, particularly tunnel and trenchless construction
- Design and develop tunnel and trenchless solutions for projects in soft ground and hard rock
- Prepare construction plans and specifications, structural/geotechnical calculations, and design reports
- Develop and maintain technical documents, including technical memoranda, geotechnical data reports, and geotechnical baseline reports
- Represent Aldea Services Inc at industry events and conferences
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in geotechnical, tunnel, trenchless, or underground projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Ohio (preferred)
