Construction Cost Estimator - Exciting Career Development Opportunity

This role is part of a newly established division within a reputable and expanding manufacturing firm. The Construction Cost Estimator will oversee projects from initial cost assessments to finalized contracts. This position entails the responsibility of estimating and bidding for construction materials, including plastic laminate cabinetry and custom millwork.

Compensation: The salary range is between $45,000 and $65,000+, commensurate with prior experience and skill level.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating for construction materials, cabinetry/millwork, or retail store fixtures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction documents and standards relevant to the cabinetry and millwork sector.
  • Proven experience in the bidding process, including soliciting bids, communicating with bidders, and evaluating subcontractor proposals.
  • A collaborative approach, with a strong commitment to customer advocacy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactive in delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges related to costs, timelines, and specified materials.
  • Ability to make accurate cost predictions and comfortable estimating across various scopes of work.
  • Experience in preparing detailed conceptual cost estimates and studies from schematic or feasibility documentation.
  • Capable of developing detailed estimates and tracking variances as designs evolve.
  • Adept at engaging and cultivating relationships with new clients.
