Job Title: Surgical Technician

At MelroseWakefield Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technician will work under the guidance of the Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures. This includes preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
  • Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, draping, and other tasks as needed
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or Massachusetts's Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterile techniques
