Millwright Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright Technician to join our team at Alsip MiniMill, LLC. As a Millwright Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and emergency repairs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safe operation of our facilities.

• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on equipment and machinery
• Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure safe operation
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues
• Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent downtime
• Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to achieve maintenance goals

• 5 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance
• Journeyman-level experience as a millwright or industrial maintenance technician
• Thorough understanding of and compliance with codes and OSHA regulations
• Basic hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
• Experience with pumps, gearboxes, and valves
• Heavy rigging knowledge
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Industrial pipefitting knowledge

• Tig, Mig, and Stick welding experience
• Competent in light electrical work required to support mill needs
• Competent in lighting electrical work (480 volt or less) required to support mill needs
