Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team at CMI Group Aerospace & Defense. As a CNC Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts for the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities
  • Loading material / parts into machine and running program.
  • Daily maintenance on machine (checking fluid levels, cleaning out chips, etc).
  • In-process inspection of parts.
  • Minor program changes, mainly tool offsets.
  • Replacement of worn or damaged tools (inserts, boring bars, end mills, drills, etc).
  • Sign-off of paperwork accompanying parts (MOT, Inspection Traveler)
  • Proper handling of parts.
  • Proper identification of parts / parts containers to maintain traceability to job number & split lot.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or trade school
  • Must be at least 18 years old and Authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to stand majority of the shift
Working Conditions

Material working with: 304L, Nitronic 60, Inconel 718, 6061, 7075, aermet 100, D2

Tolerances: +/- .0003

CNC Equipment: Mazak mills/lathes 3X/4X axis, Brother/Methods 3X/4X axis, Yasda mill turns 5X, Integrex mill turns 5X

Controls Used: Fanuc/Fadal/Haas
