Patient Demographics: Our facility serves individuals of all ages with varying degrees of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

At Oakwood, our skilled nursing staff collaborates in a serene campus environment. The LPNs will be responsible for delivering nursing care to residents who are ill or injured, conducting nursing evaluations, and administering prescribed medications and treatments. They will oversee the activities of nursing assistants, ensuring adherence to physician directives and established nursing protocols. LPNs will also monitor and document any unusual occurrences related to resident care, and communicate any significant changes in residents' physical or mental health to the supervising physician. Engaging with residents and their families to explain treatment plans is a vital part of the role. Additionally, LPNs will facilitate training sessions for both professional and non-professional staff, participate in ongoing education programs, and respond to emergency situations as required. They are expected to take appropriate measures in cases of suspected abuse or neglect, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents while documenting incidents as necessary.

Compensation: Starting at $30 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and position.

Qualifications:

  • Current KY LPN License (or Compact)
  • BLS Certification
  • Completion of ASN program required
