Job Title: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery RN Night Shift

Iberia Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to new mothers and their babies.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to address the physical, emotional, and educational needs of our patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on breastfeeding, post-discharge care, and community resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence and patient safety.
Requirements:
  • Current Louisiana RN licensure
  • BLS (CPR) certification upon hire
  • NRP certification within 6 months of employment
  • ACLS certification within 1 year post-hire for those providing post-operative care
  • PALS certification preferred within 1 year post-hire
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring Education
