Job Summary

Soliant Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a school-based setting. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and social success by addressing their speech and language needs within the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, utilizing a variety of assessment tools and observational techniques to determine students' needs.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to gather information and develop a complete picture of each student's communication abilities and challenges.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with the educational team, including teachers, school counselors, and parents.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to students to improve articulation, language comprehension, expressive language, fluency, and social communication skills, utilizing evidence-based practices and tailored therapeutic activities to address individual student needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of student assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans, and prepare detailed reports on student progress for IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school evaluations.
  • Family and Community Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies to support learning at home.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Arkansas. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable. New graduates with strong clinical training and a passion for working in educational environments are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school staff. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively. Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to supporting students' growth and success in the educational setting.
