HVAC Apprentice Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn HVAC Apprentice to join our team at Faithco, a family-owned home services company. As an HVAC Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced HVAC Technicians and Managers to install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist lead HVAC technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps.
  • Learn how to troubleshoot HVAC systems to diagnose and repair issues effectively.
  • Help maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in proper working order.
  • Assist in the installation of ductwork and other system components.
  • Work closely with senior technicians and follow instructions precisely to ensure safety and quality.
  • Prepare materials and tools for each job site and ensure all necessary parts are available.
  • Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and knowledge.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and team members.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to learn and take instruction from lead technicians.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in HVAC systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC principles is a plus.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and in confined spaces.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and materials.
