Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Medstar. As a key member of our clinic staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the achievement of our department's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for pediatric patients in a clinic setting, following established standards and practices.
- Contribute to the achievement of department goals and objectives, adhering to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide comprehensive patient care, including medication administration, vaccinations, and treatments.
- Document patient information accurately and legibly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide patient education on diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of clinic improvement projects.
- Assist in supervising and educating clinical staff, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with a B.S.N. preferred.
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, with 1-2 years of pediatric experience and previous use of electronic medical records.
- Registered Nurse, licensed in the District of Columbia, and CPR certification.
