This position is per diem, requiring employees to work 2 shifts per pay period. Our office is located at 240 Maple Ave., Mukwonago, WI. We offer 6-8 weeks of paid training, with hours based on schedule or discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Greet visitors and patients in person
  • Communicate by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customer service
  • Handle confidential information appropriately, protecting and disclosing information to only those authorized
  • Prioritize by assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergency needs
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and competence in departmental procedures and maintain current physician on-call schedules to ensure appropriate communication to ProHealth Care Physicians
  • Enter and update patient demographic and financial information, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in the process as possible
  • Obtain appropriate applications and forms, confirming signatures are on file. Photocopy/scans documents as needed
  • Provide patients with financial responsibility information and collect patient liabilities, document amounts in the appropriate fields, and balance the cash box daily
  • Work with partnering departments (Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas) to ensure all aspects of the patient's encounter are completed as needed
  • Provide wayfinding instructions and assist with hospital information as requested
  • Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable
  • Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards. Work worklists and error reports timely, and proactively seek assistance to resolve as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of previous customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work 2 shifts per pay period
  • Ability to work at 240 Maple Ave., Mukwonago, WI
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts to support a 24-hour operation
  • Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records system
  • Experience in a medical office
  • Ability to handle emergency/high pressure situations
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments
