Job Summary

Under general supervision, the incumbent performs routine to complex computerized tomography (CT) procedures for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established guidelines and CT protocols. The incumbent requires advanced knowledge of radiologic technology and computed tomography and acts as a CT subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares and positions patients for procedures by using established CT protocols to achieve the highest quality image.
  • Follows protocols specified by the radiologist and administers contrast media orally or assists physicians in intravenous administration.
  • Enters complex data into the computer system and reviews, verifies, and evaluates images and radiographs to ensure technical quality and image quality.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a school of radiologic technology.
  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
  • Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT)).
  • Venipuncture certification or Venipuncture Course Completion.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).
  • Five (5) years of experience.
  • Hospital experience.
