Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber I to join our team at the 22nd DAA/Del Mar Fairgrounds. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and equipment in accordance with relevant building codes and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and equipment, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and testing plumbing systems, to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Coordinate plumbing work for various events and projects, including setup and teardown
  • Prepare and plan job layouts and projects, including estimating materials and labor costs
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned
Working Conditions

This position requires considerable physical strength, agility, and mobility to work throughout the facility. You will be required to stand for long periods, walk on uneven ground, and perform tasks that involve pushing and pulling, reaching, bending, and climbing ladders.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in plumbing preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
