Job Overview
As a key member of our team, the Agricultural Equipment Technician is responsible for performing set-ups, refurbishments, and basic service repairs on agricultural and turf machinery owned by customers and dealers.

This role requires collaboration with the Service Manager and experienced technicians, while consistently embodying the core values of Midwest Machinery: Commitment, Passion, Progressiveness, Integrity, and Value Delivery.


Key Responsibilities:


- Execute set-ups and refurbishments of company-owned machinery
- Engage in Service EDUCATE Training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
- Stay updated on John Deere and competing products
- Ensure the upkeep of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a tidy work environment and perform tasks in an organized manner
- Adhere to all safety protocols while completing work assignments
- Complete necessary reports and documentation related to job duties
- Accurately track time and materials used during assignments
- Foster positive interactions with customers and colleagues
- Assist in the recruitment of service work
- Share expertise and skills with fellow technicians
- Support other technicians as needed to boost overall shop productivity
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required
- No prior technician experience or formal training is necessary
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment
- Proficiency in using a forklift or skid loader
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Required tools and training will be provided.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Frequent bending and stooping
- Capability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
