Position Overview: The professional registered nurse holds the authority, responsibility, and accountability for delivering nursing care through the application of the nursing process.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for applying proficient clinical knowledge and skills, utilizing independent nursing judgment for care provided by themselves and by healthcare providers to whom care is delegated, aiming for optimal patient care outcomes.
This role necessitates the demonstration of knowledge and skills at an advanced beginner level, relevant to the patients under their care, while also applying principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
The Registered Nurse must possess the capability to assess and interpret patient data to identify each patient's requirements concerning their age-specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adjusts the patient's care plan based on data collection and individual needs.
- Employs Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in patient care delivery.
- Delegates tasks according to scope of practice.
- Confirms the care plan with interprofessional colleagues, patients, and caregivers.

Physical Requirements:
- Work involves strength and stamina, including lifting, moving, and carrying materials and equipment weighing over 40 lbs.
- Visual acuity and hearing within normal ranges are required for assessing patient conditions.
Working Environment:
- May involve working irregular hours and exposure to biohazards and infectious diseases.
- Involves working with or near deceased individuals and handling patient care equipment.
Skills and Abilities:
