Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement measurement systems for current and future engine development initiatives.
  2. Diagnose and resolve issues related to measurement devices, including emissions, instrumentation, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), and combustion analysis.
  3. Recommend and execute upgrades to measurement technologies to align with regulatory standards and enhance testing efficiency.
  4. Evaluate test outcomes to confirm equipment performance and adherence to both regulatory and internal standards.
  5. Oversee calibration and quality control processes for measurement devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory and departmental guidelines.
  6. Foster effective collaboration with relevant departments across Rolls-Royce testing facilities, suppliers, and research institutions.
  7. Support cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and quality assurance.
  8. Plan and assess vibrational testing on prototype engines.
  9. Manage project timelines, budgets, and communication effectively.
  10. Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  11. Maintain accurate records of hours worked for financial tracking and auditing.
  12. Promote a culture of compliance within R&D, adhering to the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
  13. Engage in special projects as needed.
Work Environment:

Qualifications:

Required:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in measurement or emissions engineering related to internal combustion engines; or 7 years of relevant experience.
  2. In-depth knowledge of emission measurement device principles and operations.
  3. Proficient understanding of NVH measurement technologies.
  4. Strong grasp of internal combustion engine principles and operations.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing multiple projects.
  6. Analytical skills focused on root cause analysis in complex problem-solving scenarios.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  8. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  9. Competence in presentation skills.
  10. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  11. Proficiency in PC and MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
  1. Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  2. Experience with various engine emissions measurement equipment.
  3. Proficiency in the German language.
