Position Information
Role Summary
The University of Idaho is seeking a Marketing Brand Strategist to leverage their marketing acumen within a well-established educational institution. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing the university's brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
This role entails a comprehensive understanding of target demographics and the formulation of marketing initiatives that align with audience motivations. The campaigns developed will not only engage the audience but also enhance the university's brand reputation and market image.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the creation and refinement of marketing materials across diverse platforms
- Collaborating with leadership to devise marketing strategies
- Independently crafting subsequent marketing plans and initiatives
- Coordinating with external consultants, agency partners, and internal teams to generate content
- Conducting thorough consumer and market analysis
- Assessing the current market positioning of the brand
- Designing campaigns grounded in research
- Guiding team members through the execution of marketing campaigns
- Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and evaluating the success of marketing efforts
- Monitoring consumer trends to keep the brand relevant
- Leading and managing a brand influencer initiative
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Experience
- A minimum of three years in marketing, brand development, or social media, including:
- Crafting marketing plans
- Analyzing marketing data to guide strategic direction
- Directing creative processes
- Supervising teams or leading project initiatives
- Managing media purchases
- Experience in web content management
- Social media oversight
- Content marketing development and adaptation for various platforms
- Graphic design skills
- Art direction for photo and video productions
- Agency collaboration
- Project management expertise
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Public Relations; or equivalent experience totaling seven years
- Willingness to work alternate schedules as needed
- Occasional travel may be required
- Experience with:
- Content management systems for web publishing
- Higher education marketing
- Producing and editing marketing materials
- Project management tools
- Knowledge of:
- Digital and social media marketing strategies
- Management and supervisory best practices
- Digital marketing standards
- Strong understanding of GA4 analytics
- No specific physical requirements
