Position Title: Learning Center Specialist
Role Overview: The Learning Center Specialist plays a vital role in providing essential support to students facing behavioral challenges. This position is integral to fostering a positive educational environment by implementing effective behavior management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee behavior intervention programs in collaboration with educators, parents, and guardians.
- Deliver direct support services to students, working closely with teachers and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the individual education team, offering insights and recommendations for student progress.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of intervention strategies, making adjustments as necessary.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, promoting social skills and successful classroom integration.
- Act as a liaison between the school and external resources, providing support and information to families.
- Offer consultative assistance to classroom teachers to enhance student learning experiences.
- Implement crisis intervention techniques and provide follow-up support for students and their families.
- Maintain accurate records of student behavior and the progress of intervention programs.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Experience in educational settings, particularly in behavior management and crisis intervention, is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This role includes supervising students as part of the intervention process.
