This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth and development, with a starting wage of $18.55 - $19.05 and opportunities for advancement based on performance and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, employees are eligible for a range of benefits, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, PERSI retirement benefits, paid sick, vacation, and parental leave, and 11 paid holidays per year.

As a Transportation Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for performing entry-level technical highway maintenance and engineering work, including operating a variety of power tools and light and heavy highway and construction equipment to maintain roadways, signs, bridges, and other transportation facilities. You will also conduct routine inspections and field tests on construction and maintenance projects, and perform entry-level traffic services activities such as striping and replacing and repairing traffic signs and posts.

To succeed in this role, you must have a valid driver's license and experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions. You must also obtain a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire and undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
