We are currently in search of a Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy for the night shift to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care. Our Respiratory department is a dedicated team of professionals, and we are looking for a remarkable individual who shares our commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Supervisor within our Respiratory team, you will oversee all facets of Respiratory Care Services and manage the department's operations during your shift. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care for assigned departments and staff.
- Ensuring compliance with departmental standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting respiratory assessments as necessary within your scope of practice.
- Administering medications and performing various clinical procedures as directed by physicians.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A completed two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program.
- An Associate Degree or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- A valid Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of hire.
- A minimum of five years of experience in clinical respiratory therapy within an acute care hospital setting.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
