DJ Instructor

Bach to Rock Nashville West is seeking a part-time DJ Instructor to provide private, semi-private, and group lessons for students of all ages.

As a DJ Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instruction in mixing and scratching on turntables using Bach to Rock's proprietary curriculum and specific methodology. You will manage classroom time effectively to balance student needs and attention, adapt to students interested in diverse styles, and coach students for live performances.

Requirements:

• Must demonstrate an understanding of DJ Mixing, Scratching, and Beat Making concepts and be able to communicate those concepts to students effectively
• Must DJ at a professional level of competence
• Must be able to receive constructive feedback on teaching techniques and apply the feedback to new teaching situations and environments
• Must be able to be physically present at B2R for scheduled lessons
• Ability to interact effectively with children, teens, and adults
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must be proficient in English speaking and writing skills
