Job Title: Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our team for a travel assignment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for patients who require extended medical care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to 5-6 patients, adjusting and performing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor and administer medications, educate patients and family on surgical processes, and record and interpret electronic displays.
  • Interpret and understand telemetry readings, notifying the medical team of any irregularities.
  • Perform duties required of a registered nurse, including starting IVs, drawing blood, and caring for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.
Requirements:
  • Active RN License
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • BLS & ACLS Certifications
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting
  • Experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes, and ability to read Tele-strips
