Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic Procurement Manager tasked with the effective acquisition of goods and services, nurturing vendor partnerships, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting budgetary goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with various departments to identify and procure necessary equipment, materials, and products.
- Assess market trends and predict material availability.
- Compile and present market analysis and cost evaluations for products.
- Oversee purchasing operations, including the creation and management of purchase orders and requisitions.
- Formulate and enforce purchasing policies and procedures.
- Review and approve bids for contract awards.
- Negotiate advantageous terms with suppliers and address any disputes.
- Manage purchasing documentation and recordkeeping systems.
- Act as the company representative in supplier negotiations.
- Supervise the disposal or removal of surplus materials.
- Administer the departmental budget.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
- Familiarity with business and management principles.
- Knowledge of industry materials and supplies is advantageous.
